SH 73 Bergstadl Trail at the Westgipfelbahn in Saalbach Hinterglemm
A high alpine trail at its finest with some fast sections, which are repeatedly interrupted by tricky key passages in rocky and rooty terrain. Panorama and trail experiences are hard to beat.
A demanding trail for true experts
The often very narrow, winding, and rooty Bergstadl Trail is a real challenge for experienced bikers and all those who want to become one. Despite a short push section of about 30 meters, the riding fun and landscape experience on the narrow and partly rocky trail is unique.
The partly very technical trail is peppered with hairpin turns, berms, and some stone and root sections. Flowing passages skilfully alternate here with tricky key sections, and at the Westgipfelbahn mid-station, the route joins the Buchegg Trail, which has a completely different character: flowy and with well-banked berms, the Buchegg Trail meanders through the alpine meadows and offers a worthy finale to this demanding route.
