Saalbach Hinterglemm and the surrounding region are home to venues that have hosted major international sporting events. The Tour de Champions takes motivated e-bikers to the places where true champions are made — from the Ski World Championships in Saalbach to the Mountain Bike World Cup in Leogang and the Freeride World Tour in Fieberbrunn. This tour includes all of these iconic venues. Of course, the route can also be completed in stages.

WHICH TOURS ARE SUITABLE FOR E-BIKERS?

Beginners can try routes such as the Talschlussrunde, Bergstadlrunde or Forsthofalmrunde, while more advanced riders can look forward to E-Black Lion, Big (E)PIC and E-Tyrol De Luxe.

WHERE CAN E-BIKERS RECHARGE THEIR BATTERIES?

Many huts in Saalbach Hinterglemm offer free e-bike charging stations. This means both your bike battery and your own energy reserves can be topped up during a relaxed stop at a hut. We recommend bringing your own charging cable. Rental stations and shops also provide support with high-quality e-mountain bikes, tips and riding technique courses.

Did you know that you can charge an e-bike battery to 80 percent capacity in just 45 minutes? And you can not only do that in the valley or at the various rental stations, but also in the countless mountain huts - just take a short break, charge your e-bike battery and take off with renewed power. And if you’re planning a longer tour, don’t forget your extra battery. It weighs about 2.5 kg and will easily fit in the backpack.

Your e-bike loves rotation speed, by the way. With a rotation speed of 90 crank revolutions per minutes, you can, on average, get 100 metres more altitude out of your engine. But when it gets colder, even the e-bike freezes. At 0°C, the battery loses up to 20-30% capacity. Accordingly, warm yourself as well as your battery up during frosty days by charging up at one of the many huts.
