SH 36 Asitz-Trail at Schönleiten in Saalbach Hinterglemm

Natural and very pleasant singletrail that connects Saalbach Hinterglemm with Leogang and can be ridden in both directions.

This trail is unsupervised and not permanently maintained. Riding is at your own risk. There are no special safety measures along the route. For this reason, there is no official indication whether the trail is open or closed. The road traffic regulations (StVO) apply on all mountain bike routes designated by the tourism association and cable cars!

The perfect connection to Leogang

The Asitz-Trail is the perfect connection for touring & XC riders as well as enduro riders & freeriders from Saalbach Hinterglemm to Leogang. The fun singletrail impresses at the beginning with two tricky hairpin turns, a short but smooth descent in the middle section, and a final climb towards the mountain station of the Asitzbahn and Steinbergbahn in Leogang, where the entrance to the Leogang Bikepark awaits you in the form of the technical Hangman I, the flowy Hot-Shots, or the natural Steinberg-Line.

From the middle station of the Asitzbahn, more freeride routes and singletrails are available. The way back to Saalbach Hinterglemm is on the same trail. However, the summit push up to the Asitzkopf would be recommended. From there, a breathtaking view opens up - on one side Saalbach Hinterglemm stretches out below you and on the other side the imposing Leoganger Steinberge towers over the entire region.
