Mozart's TRAINing
Climate-neutral sightseeing: From Saalbach to the Mozart city of Salzburg! A relaxed route using public transport.
From Saalbach, follow the Glemmtal cycle path downstream. Along the Tauern cycle path, continue from Maishofen to Saalfelden and Lofer. Shortly after Lofer, the cycle path runs beautifully along the Saalach, which is already much wider here than in the Glemmtal. Shortly after Unken, you continue on German soil. For the 2 km between Schneitzlreuth and the Saalach bridge, you can switch to the B21, which saves energy. We leave the Saalach reservoir on the right and quickly reach Bad Reichenhall. Further on, we suggest the beautiful route via Latschenwirt and Fürstenbrunn; alternatively, you can also take the more direct and flatter route toward the city of Salzburg via Walserberg.
Depending on how much time you have left in the day, Salzburg invites you to sightseeing and soaking up the atmosphere. Return from Salzburg to Zell am See by train (bike transport is limited in REX and S-Bahn, an extra ticket is required!) to Zell am See and from there back to Saalbach by bike.
