A picturesque hike for the whole family through the enchanting fairytale forest with handmade wooden figures.

The fairytale forest has been delighting children and adults at the same time since 1986 and with its nostalgic charm takes you into a world of dwarfs and fairies. The fairy tale forest is part of the KIDS HIKING CHALLENGE and KIDS WINTER CHALLENGE and is therefore worth a visit all year round. You can enter the themed trail at several entry gates. The most popular start is shortly after the “Hinterglemm Stererfeldweg” bus stop. The path meanders across several stations in the direction of the Hinterglemm sports center. Here again, would be a great opportunity to start this time-honored path. Nevertheless, a stretcher is recommended for a hike with small children, as steep ramps line the path. Some of the carved and lovingly designed stations tell the legends and fairy tales presented at the touch of a button. The fairytale forest never lost its magic over the decades due to the many - often voluntary - helping hands and still makes children laugh and parents smile.
