Lake Zell Loop TWO VIEWS

Around Lake Zell with two panoramic mountains offering fine to crisp asphalt climbs.

From Saalbach Hinterglemm on the Glemmtal cycle path along the Saalach to Maishofen and keep on the north bank towards the east bank of the lake. At the entrance to Thumersbach turn left and after approx. 1.5 km turn left towards Mitterberg. The road winds its way in a sunny location to the Mitterberghof, where a great view of the lake and the Kitzsteinhorn reward you for your efforts. On the right side  of the building, you'll find the photo spot with the wooden frame.

 

Descend along the same route. Just before the crossroads in Thumersbach, turn left and follow the signs to the Enzianhütte. The ascent is quite similar to the one you mastered earlier, but at the end it is on a gravel road. Here, too, gravelers can expect beautiful views from a slightly different perspective. Return along the same path. At the junction in Thumersbach, turn left and complete the Zeller Lake Loop with the centrepiece of the cycle path directly on the lake on the western shore. Return via Oberreit to the junction with the Glemmtal cycle path and back to Saalbach Hinterglemm.
