SH 39 Reiterkogel - route

Sunny route high above Hinterglemm with a summit experience.

From Hinterglemm, start along the Glemmtal cycle path heading west, where after just under 1.8 km you leave the cycle path and ride up to the Rosswald hut in several switchbacks. On the border between the states of Salzburg and Tyrol, you now cycle mainly over open alpine pasture areas up to the Reiterkogel and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains as well as down into the Glemmtal. The descent down to the Wetterkreuz begins a little steeper, where you can decide whether to return to the valley via forest roads or roll down the cozy Wetterkreuz trail. At the top station of the Reiterkogel lift, you again have the freedom to choose between the forest road or singletrail (Blue-Line or Pro-Line). In both cases, the route ends back at the starting point in Hinterglemm.
