6 Summits Skyrace

At the 6 Summits Skyrace, trail runners who prefer the shorter distances at the Saalbach Trail & Skyrace but don't want to do without summit victories get their money's worth.

The 6 Summits Skyrace is the shorter equivalent of the 13 Summits Sky Marathon. On August 22nd, the starting signal will sound at the Schattberg X-Press valley station and the trail runners will crest the Schattberg and overcome 1,000 meters in altitude at just 3.3 km. Once at the top, the route continues over the Stemmerkogel, then on over the Saalbachkogel, Hochkogel, and Hochsaalbachkogel. The Hochkogel measures 2,249m above sea level. After a short downhill to the Hacklbergeralm, another, rather faster uphill awaits you back to the Schattberg over the Westgipfel summit. After the Schattberg, it's back to the finish at the Schattberg X-Press valley station in Saalbach.
