The 5 best reasons for sun skiing

Have you already stored away your skis and are in spring mode? I'll tell you why it pays to get your skis out of the cellar again. For me, spring is definitely the best time of the year to leave my mark on the slopes of the Skicircus. There are certainly 1000 good reasons for enjoying the slopes in spring - here's my top 5 summary for you.

1. Pure Sunshine

Sometimes it really depends on the length. That may not be true for a lot of things, but when it comes to skiing days, you can't deny it. And winter can definitely not keep up with spring. Already early in the morning at the first ascent with the gondola the sun shines brightly and it accompanies us with every turn up to the last run in the late afternoon. And even during the après-ski, one can still catch one or two rays of sunshine.

2. Glittering Snow & Mild Temperatures

The nights are still cold enough to find a compact piste in the morning. Therefore, you can enjoy the first descents on the well groomed slopes. But when at noon the slopes hardened by the night frost turn into the finest firn carpets, the heart of winter sports enthusiasts beats a few beats faster. Anyone who has once made his mark through butter-soft firn will never forget this feeling.

When you're on the slopes in spring, you can safely do without the thick Norwegian sweater and the ski boot heater. Mild spring temperatures are faithful companions when skiing in the sun.

3. Early start of lifts & almost empty slopes

The waiting times at the lifts are not only short, but almost non-existent. The holiday seasons are over and therefore only those winter sports enthusiasts are to be found on the slopes who know and love the special advantages of sun skiing. Is there anything nicer than seeing a vast empty slope in front of you and being able to take long turns across the entire width? The skis or the snowboard are made to glow again.

Tip: Some lifts in the Skicircus already start at 08:00 - get all info on the early start here.

4. breathtaking panorama

A fat blue sky, sunshine and clear spring air are not only the ingredients for a perfect skiing day but also for a breathtaking panorama. The view of the surrounding snow-covered mountain world glistening in the sunlight is simply fabulous. There you can take a break, spend some time and take the best photos.

5. feasting in the sunshine

The lunch breaks in spring should be spent on the terrace of one of the numerous huts in the ski area. The selection of sun terraces is large and the special spring ingredient - vitamin D - makes Kasnockn & Co taste much better.

Sunshine, good food & events

What belongs to the perfect skiing day for my children: an afternoon retreat with Kaiserschmarrn. And while the children are eating their favourite dessert, I can sit down in my T-shirt in the nearest deck chair and get my first tan. And such a short Powernap after the feasting is really not to be despised.

But beware: You shouldn't underestimate the spring sun. Don't forget to apply sunscreen! Otherwise the first spring tan will quickly turn into a painful red!

In spring I am not only attracted by firm pistes, good food and the sun to the Skicircus. Cool events such as the White Pearl Mountain Days will get you in the right sunshine skiing mood. From small to big and from the party tiger to the deckchair chiller, everyone gets their money's worth in spring. Apropos costs - for ski passes there are special offers for the whole family!

Now you know why spring is the better winter. Now all you have to do is go to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and enjoy all the benefits of sun skiing!
