countdown to the event
The World Cup final will be the perfect "final test" for the World Championships!
In March 2024, the crowning finale of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup will take place in Saalbach. The eagerly awaited season finale is also the dress rehearsal for the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships Saalbach 2025.
Before the World Championships come to Saalbach in February 2025, Saalbach is looking forward to welcoming the best ski racers in the world to the World Cup finals of the 2023/24 season. This is when the last sporting decisions will be made in both the women's and men's overall World Cup and in the individual discipline rankings. Traditionally, only the 25 best athletes in the respective discipline rankings and all skiers with more than 500 points in the overall rankings are eligible to compete in the season finale. In addition, the reigning junior world champions will be able to present themselves on the big stage of skiing at the finals.
This gives the athletes the opportunity to get to know the World Cup pistes on the Zwölferkogel better and to ski them at race pace for the first time. The World Cup final should also provide the World Cup organising team with important insights into the infrastructure, mobility concept and sports logistics, as World Cup medals will once again be awarded in Glemmtal just eleven months later.
